Alarm Monitoring - Monitored Alarms
Alarm monitoring
  • Your home or business can be monitored 24/7 from 76p a day

  • Monitored alarm can generate police response in the event of burglary or personal attack.
Eagle Security Solutions know how important it is to protect your home and your family or business at all times - that's why we recommend 24 hours a day monitoring for our range of house alarms and business security alarms.

Alarm monitoring service ensures that your intruder alarm won't be ignored. This is because you're connected to our NACCOSS approved Alarm Receiving Centre via your phone line, giving you added security, 24 hours a day. What's more, you're not just protected from burglars; we also help you obtain emergency support when faced with a fire or if you need the assistance of a key holder.

Alarm signalling: There are various types of alarm signalling such as -

Digicom (Digital Communicator) is the oldest and cheapest method of alarm signalling commonly used within the fire and security industry. Digital Communicator works as a single path only via a telephone line and as such vulnerable to telephone line faults. A telephone line fault means the alarm system is prevented from sending any signal to the alarm receiving centre. Understandably, Digicom is the least acceptable type of alarm signalling to home and business insurers.

BT Redcare is a dual path alarm signalling device. It ensures that communication link between the security alarm system and the alarm receiving centre is working and continuously polled. BT Redcare portfolio includes Redcare classic, Redcare GSM, Redcare secure and Redcare agile.

Dualcom GPRS from CSL Dualcom limited is an alternative to Redcare, it is a dual path signalling method that works on any standard telephone line. It is a cheaper and more flexible alternative to Redcare but not necessarily a better option to Redcare. It currently uses Vodaphone and Orange networks for its radio path signalling. Dualcom is available as Grade 2, 3 or 4 signalling unit with difference in polling frequency being the determining factor.

Other types of alarm signalling are Webway and Emizon 21.

Benefits of monitored alarm
  • Your home or business will be monitored by our central station 24/7 around the clock.
  • Monitored alarm which holds a valid Unique Reference Number (URN) will qualify for Police response. The Police will no longer respond to a bell-only alarm, unless there is additional evidence of a crime being committed.
  • A 'Personal Attack' signal from a monitored alarm will be immediately policed, knowing that help is on its way.
  • Smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector, when linked in to your monitored alarm system enable the central monitoring station to call the Fire Brigade if you are incapacitated. The Fire monitoring part of the alarm system stays 'set' even if the main intruder alarm is not 'set'.
  • With a monitored alarm more than 65% of faults can be resolved by remote diagnosis and resets without the need for an engineer to attend, so saving the homeowner time and money.
  • Most insurance companies recommend monitored alarm - EN50131/PD6662 & DD243:2004 compliant.
